PAIA gives people a right of access to records held by private and public bodies, subject to the Act's limitations. This manual explains how to request a record. It does not give access to records that PAIA may or must refuse, including another person's private information, legally privileged records or confidential commercial information.
Records we hold
- Business records: registration, tax, banking, insurance, supplier agreements and correspondence.
- Client records: enquiries, quotes, bookings, invoices, payments, refunds and complaints.
- Photography records: session photographs, edited images, galleries and publication permissions.
- Makeup and hair records: service notes and any health or allergy information shared for safety.
- Financial records: accounting records, bank statements and payment confirmations.
- Website and system records: website content, security logs, form submissions and database records.
How to request a record
Email the Information Officer at our contact page with the subject "PAIA request". Include your name and contact details, proof of identity, a description of the record you want, the form of access you prefer, and proof of authority if you are requesting on behalf of someone else. The Information Regulator publishes the prescribed request form on its website.
We will acknowledge your request and decide whether to grant it, generally within 30 days. If the request is complex, we may extend the period as PAIA allows and will tell you why. PAIA permits prescribed fees for searching, preparing and copying records; we will tell you the amount before incurring substantial costs.
If you are unhappy
If we refuse a request, we will give written reasons. You may complain to the Information Regulator at [email protected] or inforegulator.org.za, or apply to a court for relief as PAIA provides.
This manual is available on this website and at our business premises on request. It is published in English. This version was last updated on 20 October 2026.
